Transparency reporting is the hallmark of Climate.aero. Unlike any other compensation program in general and business aviation, we extensively disclose information about the climate efforts of aircraft owners and operators through public transparency reporting, setting us apart in the industry.
Private aviation faces social scrutiny due to its climate impact. Many owners and users of private aircraft already participate in compensation programs to reduce their carbon footprint. However, without visible reporting, these positive efforts remain unknown, doing little to counter the existing criticism. Transparent reporting can not only improve public perception but also contribute to shaping regulations by clearly demonstrating the steps private aviation is taking to mitigate its climate impact.
Climate.aero manages profiles for over 200,000 aircraft, many of which already have detailed CO2 estimations. By participating in our compensation program, your compensation level (from bronze to platinum) will be displayed on your profile, along with an explanation of the amount of CO2 offset and inset. Furthermore, your compensation will be illustrated in your aircraft’s emission chart, making your commitment to the environment visible to all.
Paying members receive a Climate.aero badge with their compensation level and a QR code that leads to their aircraft page. This logo can be used in print media, on websites, and more, to broadcast your commitment to sustainability and transparency to a wider audience.
As an additional service, members from bronze to platinum levels can order stickers with their compensation level and QR code, ideal for placement in the aircraft or other prominent areas to enhance visibility of your environmental efforts to customers or stakeholders.
Additionally, we offer plexiglass plaques containing the QR code and compensation information, perfect for office environments
Compliance reporting
In contrast to public reporting, compliance reporting is mandated by governmental or industry regulations. Climate.aero is currently developing advanced monitoring and reporting tools tailored for the compliance market, with plans to launch these features in early 2025.

At this moment, we do not offer a service yet for passengers wishing to offset a single flight. However, stay tuned for updates as we continue to expand our offerings to better serve your needs.
If you opt for our 'set and forget' compensation program, we offer three compensation levels: Silver, Gold and Platinum Partner. With this program, you will only be billed for compensation when your aircraft has been flying, eliminating fixed costs. Additionally, we handle all the calculations and procurement of SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) credits and voluntary carbon credits on your behalf.
It's worth noting that the cost for compensating is very small compared to the total operation costs of an aircraft, typically representing only a few percent of the total. When you decide to 'start compensating,' you can easily obtain a cost estimation tailored to your particular aircraft and average number of flights per month. This process involves just a few simple steps, and the cost estimation is completely free and non-binding.
For aircraft owners already utilizing a third-party compensation program, we offer the option to publish their compensation amounts for free. If you wish to have these figures accredited by us, a small membership fee is charged.
Using Climate.aero to document CO2 compensation enhances an aircraft's reputation and can increase its resale value. An aircraft with a proven compensation history not only benefits the current owner's reputation but also positively impacts the reputation of any future owner, making it more valuable than a similar aircraft without such a history.
